How to restore a deleted quote?

Updated over a month ago

What is this feature for?

This feature allows you to restore a quote that was deleted by mistake or needs to be retrieved for business reasons. It is particularly useful to avoid the permanent loss of important commercial data and to preserve the complete history of your customer exchanges.

Each deleted quote retains essential information: its unique ID, the user who performed the deletion, and the date of deletion. This data facilitates tracking and allows you to quickly identify the quotes to be restored.

How to access it?

Go to Configuration > Data Administration, then click on the "Deleted Quotes Restoration" tab.

How to restore a deleted quote?

Step 1 — Access the list of deleted quotes

In the "Deleted Quotes Restoration" tab, you access the complete list of deleted quotes with the following information:

Quote ID: unique identifier of the quote

User: person who deleted it

Deletion date: date and time of deletion

Step 2 — Select the quote to restore

Identify the quote you wish to restore in the list, then select it by checking the corresponding box.

Step 3 — Validate the restoration

Click on the "Validate" button to initiate the restoration of the quote.

💡 Tip: Note the quote ID before restoration to easily find it in your Quote Pipeline after the operation.

What happens after the restoration?

Once the restoration is validated:

• The quote reappears in your Quote Pipeline (accessible via Business > Quote Pipeline)

• It automatically regains the status it had at the time of deletion (e.g.: "Awaiting Response", "Lost", "Negotiation", etc.)

• All quote information (amount, client, dates, rate card lines) remains intact

• You can once again view, edit, or modify the quote like any other active quote

💡 Tip: If the restored quote is in a column you don’t immediately see (like "Lost"), use the filters in the Quote List view to locate it quickly.

Who can restore a deleted quote?

This feature is reserved for users with the permission "Data Administration: Access feature pages (change invoice numbers, delete invoices, change dates, change quote numbers, recover a deleted quote, reset a project", configurable via Configuration > Furious Configuration > Permission Management > Finance.

We recommend limiting access to this feature to administrative profiles or individuals responsible for commercial management.

⚠️ Warning: Although restoration is possible, we advise limiting deletions of quotes to strictly necessary cases to preserve commercial history and conversion rate calculation.

Key points to remember

The restoration of deleted quotes allows you to recover a quote in its original state (status, amount, content) via the dedicated tab in Invoice Administration. This feature preserves commercial history and requires specific permission to access.
